Most companies have their annual reviews at the end of the year, or even in January of the next year, so I bet you think I am crazy for bringing up performance reviews in June. But think about it – how hard is it to remember everything that happened the year before during the holidays?

At Teamphoria we have a few suggestions:

employee performance review check inMonthly Check-Ins

Utilize monthly check-ins between managers and direct reports to keep a log of accomplishments, goals, feedback, etc. This way at the end of the year when you go to take your annual review you have notes from the entire year.

Along with having manager/direct report monthly check-ins, allow for continuous feedback from peers. Peers and team members work closely day-to-day so allow for that peer-to-peer feedback throughout the year.
